Iowa Native Mobilizes Home-State Support for Texas Flood Relief |
Allison Reynolds Leads Effort to Aid Flood-Stricken Communities |
Allison Reynolds, an Iowa native now residing in Leander, Texas, is spearheading a relief initiative to support communities devastated by recent flooding in Central Texas.
Witnessing firsthand the destruction caused by over 18 inches of rainfall, Reynolds felt compelled to act.
She established "Iowans Supporting Texans," a grassroots coalition aimed at rallying support from her home state.
Through this initiative, Reynolds is coordinating the collection and shipment of essential supplies, including bottled water, nonperishable food, hygiene kits, and cleaning materials.
Partnering with local Salvation Army chapters, she ensures that donations reach the most affected areas.
Reynolds is personally covering all logistical expenses, allowing 100% of contributions to directly aid flood victims.
She encourages Iowans to organize local drives at schools, fire stations, and grocery stores, with collected items sent to a consolidation hub in Des Moines.
For those unable to donate items, monetary contributions can be made through designated channels, ensuring immediate assistance to those in need.
By bridging the generosity of Iowa with the urgent needs of Texas, Reynolds exemplifies how compassion transcends state lines. |
